FEIJENOORDS FAVORIETEN
WHAT
Feijenoord is one of the largest and most multicultural districts in Rotterdam. It has its own social problems, certainly, but it deserves to be discovered as a thriving and interesting part of the city. The home of Feyenoord soccer club is divided into nine boroughs. Under the title of Feijenoord Favorieten (Feijenoord Favorites), a campaign has been launched to highlight special spots in the area, fun social activities, unusual shops, great restaurants, amazing architecture, interesting stories… The campaign includes a magazine, leaflets detailing walking tours, advertisements, and a website.
HOW
The website was put together by Online Department, who also asked CAFE OPEN to take on the concept and design for the magazine. We invited five photographers to capture their favorite spots in Feijenoord. The result was an interesting variety of pictures, each telling its story of the district. This unique and diverse view of Feijenoord formed the basic concept for the magazine.
